Mr. Moon is thrilled to be entering his 19th season (year) as the director of Beckman Theatre. His directing repertoire ranges from classics such as Twelfth Night, Romeo and Juliet and Pride and Prejudice to knee-slapping comedies like Greater Tuna, The Odd Couple, Rex's Exes, and Puffs. He has also directed thought-provoking dramas like The Crucible, Our Town, The Laramie Project, and Dracula. Moreover, Moon has been an integral part in executing Beckman’s musical theatre productions, co-directing Mean Girls, The Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, and The Addams Family.
Mr. Moon brings with him a wealth of knowledge and professional skills to the classroom. As a 1993 graduate of The Theatre School at DePaul University, he holds a BFA in Acting. Moon has also worked professionally in equity theatre houses as well as in film and television.
Mr. Moon holds a master’s degree in education.  During his tenure at Beckman, he has guided graduates to study the craft at some of the most nationally recognized programs (NYU, Boston, DePaul, Ball State) as well as regionally recognized programs (UCI, CSUF, USF, Fullerton College, IVC, OCC). His students have performed, competed, and placed on regional, state, and international levels. Mr. Moon is the OCMAA(Orange County Music and Arts Administrators) 2023 Secondary Theatre Teacher of the Year.
Moon is very proud of the graduates from his program. Some of Beckman Theatre's alumni are working in theatre education, regional theatre, and film and television.
